outdoors at 8:30 before doors open at 9 a.m.
>> Event is free, but booster buttons are
available for a suggested donation of $5 at
area SuperOne stores, from planning
committe members, from CHUM Churches
and at CHUM (look left for button design).

Original Recipe Contest Rules
2007 CHUM Rhubarb Festival

Recipes and items submitted need to be original recipes. If the
recipe is a modification of a published recipe, the original source
should be indicated. There is a $5 entry fee per item. Dr. Bea
Ojakangas (with specialized study of rhubarb's culinary
qualities) is the head judge.

Categories:
1. Pies, desserts, and bars 2. Quick breads & muffins
3. Beverages 4. Miscellaneous

Contest Instructions:
1. Prepare enough of the item for 6 or more servings
2. Include 6 copies of the recipe and recipe source.
3. Bring the entry and recipes to First Lutheran by 10:30 AM on Saturday,
June 23. Fill out at entry form available at the contest table or as download
below. Winners will be announced at 12:00 noon.
4. Please use the following recipe format and submit if possible on a half
sheet of 8 ½ x 11" paper so two recipes will fit on one sheet of paper. Type
or print clearly for reproduction. "Everyone will want the recipe!"

CHUM Rhubarb Fest to be bigger & better during 4th year!
Silent Auction -- Even bigger at the 2003 Rhubarb Festival!

A great assortment of items, including many pieces of locally created artwork, handmade items in
various media, gift baskets, and a wide assortment of gift certificates for food, lodging, and services.

Bidding begins at 9 a.m. and continues to 1 p.m. Each item will have a mimimum bid as well as a
maximum "take it home now" bid that will allow it to be claimed immediately. Bidders leave a phone
number they can be contacted at after 1 p.m. Winners can be present in person or contacted by
phone so they can pick up their items between 1 and 2:30 on Saturday, June 23.
